Don’t Take Our Word for It!

We are all together. We are one. We are united to fight breast cancer!

“Unity Outreach gave me a sense of belonging after I found myself in a club no one wants to be in.”

“Words cannot capture the depth of gratitude for the countless ways Unity Outreach supported me during my cancer journey and beyond. The unwavering compassion and empathy of Unity Outreach founders Peggy Turner-Jones and Sherry Turner-Bewsee; truly lightened my burden during my cancer journey. Their knowledge, positive feedback, and resources helped me to understand so much and validated my feelings. Their continued heartfelt companionship in my life while in remission is also a huge blessing.

Unity Outreach gave me a sense of belonging after I found myself in a club no one wants to be in. Through volunteering at fundraising events, I have met other cancer patients, survivors, and Unity Outreach donors that I am fortunate to call my friends.

If you asked what Unity Outreach means to me, I would say “security”. I know I will never be alone, no matter what. If cancer shows up again, and I cannot cover expenses, they will help out. If I need a ride to treatments, they will take me; if I ever need to be reminded of my faith, that will happen; if I ever need to be talked off the ledge, they will be there for me. Those assurances give me strength when the fear of recurrence fills my mind. Thank you, Peggy, Sherry, and so many others who support Unity Outreach to make the journey a little more tolerable. “

“Unity Outreach is more than just a nonprofit; they are a lifeline for our community”

“I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support I received from Unity Outreach in Saint Augustine, FL. As someone who was in need of critical health screenings but facing financial hurdles, their mission to ensure no woman faces breast cancer alone truly became my reality.

Through their generous program, I was able to receive both a mammogram and a sonogram at no cost at

St. Augustine Imaging. The experience at the imaging center was exceptional—the staff was professional, kind, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process.

Unity Outreach is more than just a nonprofit; they are a lifeline for our community. They provided me with the security of knowing I wasn’t alone in my health journey. To anyone in St. Johns County who may be putting off their screenings due to cost, please reach out to this amazing organization. They turn hope into real help.

Thank you, Unity Outreach, for everything you do to save lives and support local Saint Augustine women.”.

“Thank you so much for funding my mammogram.

“Thank you so much for funding my mammogram.

I recently left my full-time job to care for my elderly mother & found myself with no insurance. I never miss my mammogram as I have a family history (sister).

Your agency allowed me to stay on track with my annual screening. Thanks again!”
